Bryson DeChambeau places T9 at the Wells Fargo Championship

by Nic Turner | Mon, May 10th 12:41pm EDT

It was quite the rollercoaster week for DeChambeau in Charlotte. DeChambeau thought he missed the cut after shooting rounds of 70 and 74 and took a private flight back home to Dallas. Sure enough, conditions worsened and he ended up making the weekend and having to fly back to Quail Hollow. DeChambeau fired two final rounds of 68 to finish at four-under-par and place T9.

Fantasy Impact:

It was an impressive turnaround for DeChambeau in such bizarre circumstances. He rolled the ball very well in Charlotte, finishing second in the field in strokes gained: putting. DeChambeau ranks first on Tour this season in strokes gained: off-the-tee and strokes gained: tee-to-green.
