Sam Burns wins the Sanderson Farms Championship

Sam Burns produced rounds of 68-66-65-67 to ascend the leaderboards and earn his second career PGA Tour victory. Burns finished at 22-under-par on the week to win by a stroke.

The 25-year old native of Louisiana returned close to home and won the Sanderson Farms Championship this past weekend. Burns continues to build on the momentum he created in the 2021 PGA season, where he produced eight top-ten finishes but only one first-place finish. However, Burns didn't waste much time, winning the third tournament of the 2022 PGA season. As a result, he is now ranked first in the FedExCup standings heading into the Shriners Children's Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.
