Max Homa wins 2022 Wells Fargo Championship

by Matthew MacKay | Mon, May 16th 10:20am EDT

Max Homa fired rounds of 67-66-71-68 to earn a final score of eight-under-par en route to a two-stroke win at the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship.

Fantasy Impact:

Homa earned his second win of the season at Avenel Farm, which proved to be one of the most challenging courses played on the PGA Tour circuit this season. The 31-year-old Californian averages 4.2 birdies per round and is 12th in total strokes gained, which allowed him to win for the second time at the Wells Fargo Championship, with his first coming back in 2019 at a Quail Hollow. Homa is now ranked sixth in the FedExCup and should be climbing future leaderboards heading into the FedExCup series playoffs.
