Hideki Matsuyama carded rounds of 67-66-69-62, yielding a final score of 24-under-par en route to a T3 finish at the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson.
Since March, Matsuyama has not competed in many solo PGA events, but he has drawn finishes of T14 at Augusta and a T3 at TPC Craig Ranch this past weekend. It was the fifth top ten for the 30-year-old Japanese native, and he is playing phenomenal golf thanks to strong irons and a near automatic 71 percent Greens in Regulation conversion rate, ranking seventh on Tour. Matsuyama is primed to make a run and is currently ranked fourth in the FedExCup and 11th in OWGR.
