Mito Pereira carded rounds of 68-64-69-75 to finish four-under-par en route to a T3 finish at the 2022 PGA Championship.
The young Chilean played a brilliant brand of golf until Sunday, when his lead eroded throughout the day, culminating in a water shot on the 18th hole. However, Pereira did go six-under-par on Friday at Southern Hills, which gave him the initial lead. The 27-year-old Chilean relied on his precise irons and fourth-ranked greens in regulation percentage to earn his second third-place finish of the season. Despite the slip at the end, Pereira is ranked 35th in the FedExCup and 49th in OWGR.
