1. Overview
Thanks for participating in our Draft Rankings Competition. We’ve assembled the top fantasy football experts in the industry to see who can create the most accurate draft cheat sheet. In addition to bragging rights, participating in the competition is a great way to get exposure to our large audience of active advice seekers. We’re also providing award badges to the top experts that can be displayed on your site/blog as well as on your profile page at FantasyPros.com.
Please note that we will be holding a separate competition for In-Season (weekly) Rankings. You are NOT required to participate in both. As with the Draft Rankings competition, the In-Season contest is offered on an invite-only basis. We’ll provide further details on that competition closer to the start of the season.
2. Deadlines
Initial rankings must be completed and published no later than August 1st, 2014.
By “published” we mean that the rankings must be available on your site/blog and/or at FantasyPros.com. This competition is about finding out who provided the best draft rankings to readers so, naturally, the advice needs to be available for users….and in time for their drafts. If you have a subscription site that requires a premium account to access your rankings, we’ll just need to verify that the rankings are provided there for your members.
You may update your rankings as frequently as you wish. The version we use for the accuracy competition will be your published version as of September 3rd, 2014 at 11:59pm EST.
3. How to Submit Rankings
We provide a free Online Player Ranker that makes it dead simple to do and update rankings. It’s preloaded with consensus rankings and has an easy drag/drop interface. This tool allows you to instantly publish your updates to your blog/site or you can export them to Excel. The tool will also publish your rankings to your expert page on FantasyPros.com unless otherwise instructed. Instructions for accessing the Ranker will be emailed to you. If you do not receive an email, please contact us.
If you would prefer not to use our Ranker tool, you can provide us with a tab-delimited formatted feed. If you’re interested in this option, please contact us as soon as possible.
4. Optional Player Notes
You’ll notice that our Player Ranker has an optional notes field. It is not required for for the accuracy competition, but we highly encourage you to write short player notes. The notes can be published on your site/blog and may get promoted in various areas of our site. We will always include your name/site if we publish your notes on FantasyPros.com. With the compacted draft prep time and condensed free agency period this season, everyone’s going to want the latest rankings and summary advice. Our ranker helps you meet both of these needs.
5. Accuracy Awards
In addition to the free promotion you’ll receive on FantsyPros.com, we will be offering award badges to the top performers that can be displayed on your site/blog next season. For our Draft Rankings competition, this year’s award categories are:
- Most Accurate Expert (Overall – combines QB, RB, WR, TE)
- Top 5 Expert (Overall – combines QB, RB, WR, TE)
- Top 10 Expert (Overall – combines QB, RB, WR, TE)

6. Ranking Requirements
Listed below are the minimum player requirements for each position that we evaluate:

7. Scoring Settings
All default fantasy points shown on FantasyPros.com are based on our standard scoring system which is detailed below. These settings are also used for calculating our accuracy ratings.

By entering the FantasyPros Draft Rankings Competition, you allow FantasyPros to use your advice (rankings and player notes) in tools such as our Consensus Rankings, Cheat Sheet Wizard, FAST, and other content. However, participation in the competition does not guarantee placement or promotion in these tools. You also allow FantasyPros to use your name and site affiliation in external communications such as, but not limited to, press releases, blog posts, tweets, emails, and other forms of marketing and communication. Your rankings will be published on FantasyPros.com and linked to from your Expert Profile Page. However, this is optional if you have the rankings published on your own site or blog. If you wish to opt out of having your full rankings published on FantasyPros.com, please contact us. FantasyPros shall not be held liable for any damages caused by the use of the Online Player Ranker. This tool is being made available free of charge as an option for submitting your rankings to the competition. There are no cash or prizes associated with this competition and your participation is completely at will. FantasyPros reserves the right to terminate your participation in the competition for any reason and at any time.
