Fantasy Impact:
Melendez sat out Wednesday afternoon's series finale against the Tigers and lefty Matthew Boyd but returns on Thursday to take on left-hander Shane McClanahan on Thursday. It's been a tough season at the plate for the 24-year-old who is hitting just .211 with six homers, however, his .322 xwOBA is far superior to his .285 wOBA, so improved results should be on the horizon.
