To avoid arbitration, the Boston Red Sox and Connor Wong (hand) agreed to terms on a one-year contract Thursday. The deal is valued at $1.375 million and includes an additional $75,000 in potential performance bonuses. (Chris Cotillo)
Fantasy Impact:
Wong underwent right hand surgery in October but is expected to be recovered in time for spring training. The 29-year-old is coming off a 2025 season in which he lost his starting job to Carlos Narvaez, finishing with zero home runs and a .500 OPS over 63 regular-season contests. He is projected to serve as Narvaez's backup in 2026.
