Kade Strowd optioned to Triple-A Reno after rough spring
by Bruno Mulé | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Sat, Mar 21st 9:16am EDT
Strowd posted a 1.71 ERA and 1.10 WHIP across 26.1 innings with the Orioles last season and came to Arizona via trade in February with a shot at the Opening Day roster. He allowed 10 earned runs across just 7.2 Cactus League innings, however, undercutting his case. (Alex D'Agostino)
Fantasy Impact:
The Diamondbacks optioned Strowd to Triple-A Reno Friday despite being without A.J. Puk (elbow) and Justin Martinez (elbow) to begin the season. He could return to the big-league bullpen if he reestablishes his form in the minors.
