by Bruno Mulé | Cubs Correspondent | Sat, Mar 21st 9:51am EDT
Suzuki sprained the PCL in his right knee during Team Japan's World Baseball Classic quarterfinal loss to Venezuela on March 14 and has since resumed light throwing and hitting. The Cubs are expected to decide sometime this weekend whether he'll be ready for Opening Day or will need to open the season on the injured list. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Manager Craig Counsell indicated that even if Suzuki does land on the IL, he expects the absence to be fairly short-term.
