Lynch will make his first start of the season Friday night, as the Royals will give him another shot at being a big-league starter. The 29-year-old southpaw has turned into an excellent reliever over the past couple of seasons, and currently sports a stellar 1.96 ERA across 46 appearances this year. Lynch largely failed to settle in as a starter for the Royals back in his first couple of seasons (2021, 2022). For his career, Lynch holds a 5.19 ERA as a starter compared to a 2.47 mark in relief.
