“I am not afraid to move Stanton higher in the ranks versus the consensus rankings. He will be this year's Jose Bautista. Look for 40 home runs and an improved batting eye.”

“Mike, better known as Giancarlo these days has the power of the North Korean Army. He's about as big as they are too. I don't like .260, and I don't like his lack of steals, but he may hit 50 homers.”

“Mike Stanton is the definition of a power hitter. His average could be higher, he'll barely steal you a base, and he strikes out a lot, but he can hit some dingers. Stanton will hit 40 HR in a year, there's basically no question about that. He's only 22, and most projections have him hitting 37-39. I expect his average to increase, creep closer to .300 each year, similar to how Prince Fielder's did early in his career. Add Jose Reyes to that lineup, and he'll see an increase in RBI numbers as well.”
