Originally from the East Coast, Tony interned and then worked at The Times-Herald Record, covering tennis and HS football. He moved to Arizona in 2006 and will never leave. He regularly attends Diamondback games during the summer and plays a variety of sports.

Chris Owings remained scalding hot, going 2-for-4 Monday as one of the few bright spots for the Diamondbacks in their 10-2 loss to the Dodgers. In four September games, Owings is 10-for-15 and has raised his batting average to .290. He also drove in a run for the third straight game, bringing his season total to 35.

Zack Greinke allowed eight runs in 4 2/3 innings Monday in a 10-2 loss to the Dodgers. Greinke cruised through the first three innings before allowing five home runs in the next 1 2/3 innings. The outing raised Greinke's ERA for the season to 4.54. One small silver lining for fantasy owners was Greinke struck out six and did not walk anyone.

Shelby Miller solid in return from Triple-A photo
Shelby Miller gave up two earned runs over six innings in his first major league start since July 6 against the San Francisco Giants Wednesday. Miller had been pitching in Triple-A Reno since then, working on his mechanics and confidence after an abysmal first half of the season. Miller gave up one walk and struck out three in his outing, throwing 67 of his 97 pitches for strikes.

Shelby Miller to return from minors; start in San Francisco Wednesday photo
Diamondbacks starting pitcher Shelby Miller will be recalled from Triple-A Reno and get the nod against the San Francisco Giants in a road game Wednesday, according to azcentral.com's Nick Piecoro. Miller's performance improved significantly after his demotion, compiling a 55/10 K/BB ratio in 50 innings and earning rave reviews from Reno manager Phil Nevin.
