Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr., who is expected to be on the trade block ahead of the season opener, was excused from practice on Wednesday, Aug. 20. (John Doran on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This is unsurprising as he was also excused from the team's second preseason game two days before. Robinson, whose contract escalates in Year 4 to over $3 million, seems likely to land somewhere else before Week 1. If Robinson is moved, he could be a spot starter or 1B rotational option for another team. In D.C., the drum beat has been loud for Bill Croskey-Merritt, while Chris Rodriguez Jr. and Jeremy McNichols have shown flashes in the system.
