Jay Cutler comes up short again

by Jameson King | Sun, Dec 13th 4:47pm EST

Jay Cutler completed 19 of 35 pass attempts for 315 yards and two touchdowns in Chicago’s 24-21 loss to Washington.

Fantasy Impact:

Jay Cutler had a slow start, but with 18 seconds left in the first half, he threw a 20 yard touchdown pass to Alshon Jeffery. In the third quarter, Cutler connected on a nine-yard touchdown pass to tight end Zach Miller to bring the Bears within seven at 21-14. In the final seconds of the fourth quarter, with the game tied 21-21, Cutler once again targeted Jeffery, this time with a massive 50-yard pass to put the Bears within field goal range; however, Robbie Gould was unable to put it through the uprights. Jay Cutler had a solid game against the Redskins defense that has allowed the 12th fewest yards to opposing quarterbacks this season. Expect lower production next week against the Vikings who have allowed the 9th fewest yards to quarterbacks this season.
