Lynch turns 28 years old and has 1,753 career carries. I think the plan is to have more of a timeshare this season with second-year RB Christine Michael and allow Lynch to depart in free agency next year, when they will need to free up money to sign QB Russell Wilson to a mega contract. It was good they were able to resolve Lynch's contract squabble early in training camp.
Johnson was viewed as a disappointment last year, but still finished as the 9th overall fantasy running back with 1,422 yards from scrimmage and 10 total touchdowns. He should lead the New York Jets in rushing attempts, but he will be in a timeshare with RB Chris Ivory.

Brandon Funston
Yahoo! Sports
Rumors of his impending decline look premature - a vintage Beast-Mode performance in W1 (124 YFS, 2 TDs)
Looks like a 60/40 split w/ Ivory in backfield, but NYJ will be run heavy, so workload should be good enough

Raju Byfield
Win My Fantasy League
Marshawn Lynch will see his carries reduced but will still likely see 300 plus touches with Christine Michael likely maxing out around the 150 range.
Chris Johnson has joined the New York Jets and anyone who does not recognize the fear a Michael Vick/Chris Johnson tandem will instill in opposing defensive coordinators has not been following football close enough. The ‘fastest backfield ever built’ could propel the Jets to the playoffs and Johnson to RB1 numbers...but Geno Smith is being pushed by team brass to be the starter limiting Johnson’s fantasy value. Chris Ivory is a legit threat to steal carries but it would be very surprising to see Ivory not miss games with an injury or two this season.

James Hatfield
Hatty Waiver Wire Guru
The Seahawks love the run game and Lynch continues to get the goal-line work. He is a safe selection for 2014 and you have to love his toughness.
His role as an every down back are fading and he is going to be a bit of a gamble pick and may go too early in drafts.

Tom Schriner
FFLockerRoom
The wear on Lynch's tires is starting to worry me a bit. Only reason he has slipped a couple of spots in our rankings.
CJ2K may not be a Titan heading into the season, make sure to keep track of his situation during the off season. Word is that the Titans have put Chris on the trading block. But that won't do any good. No one will take that contract, we will have to wait when the Titans finally release him.

Sablich Brothers
The New York Times
Likely last year in Seattle, Micheal ready to carry more, and plenty of recent wear & tear.
Favorite to lead the run-heavy committee in NY, but will give way to Ivory at the stripe.

Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Lynch has been unstoppable the past three years and he's not slowing down now. The talented young backs behind him will have to wait.
CJ2k wants 2k yds again. Not too likely without a true feature role, but he can still offer RB2 upside.

Jeff Boggis
Fantasy Football Empire
28 years old and 4.17 yards per carry on 301 rushing attempts. Seahawks OC Darrell Bevell says he will use a running back by committee approach this season. We all know that Lynch is still the #1 RB, but even at a 70/30 split with Christine Michael , this will hurt his fantasy value.

Smitty
Fantasy Football Starters
His future is up in the air in SEA, but he is good to go for 2014. Christine Michael (and even Turbin) is a must-own in 2014, but Lynch likely has one more year left as a top 6-10RB. Just know, he has more carries than any other back in the league over the last few years... he has some injury risk, which is why the handcuff(s) is so important.

Chet Gresham
The Fake Football
Lynch is the workhorse of that backfield for another year and that means production. Don't overthink this, he's still a stud and the Seahawks will run him into the ground this season.
Not sure what to do with CJwhocaresK. He still has the speed and skill, but can you trust him to break a tackle? Sometimes, yes, so he has to be drafted. He'll be up and down all season, but put up a few big games to keep you believing.

Pat Fitzmaurice
The Football Girl
Good chance Seahawks start to dial back his workload this year.
Wildly erratic from week to week. Let someone else deal with the frustration.

Tozzi Brothers
Legion Report
Marshawn Lynch will still be the focal point in the Seattle Seahawks Offense in 2014. The Seahawks will still be sure to implement their future RB Christine Michael in the mix which should reduce Lynch’s load by around 50-60 carries this season. This is not exactly a Running Back By Committee approach in Seattle, rather a lessening the load for the Beast Mode. Lynch ran for 1257/12 on 301 carries last season and should see about 260 carries this season. Due to the fact Beast Mode will still see the bulk of the goal line carries he remains a mid to low end RB1. The 28 year old still has some life, but the Seahawks want to preserve as much as possible for the Playoffs/Super Bowl. Keep in mind Lynch faces a very tough Fantasy Playoff Schedule: @PHI, SF, @ARI.
Rex Ryan said Chris “CJ?K” Johnson was “flying” in the mandatory conditioning running. CJ?K was recently cleared after surgery on his 2013 torn meniscus injury. He’s in line to share a workload with Chris Ivory and Bilal Powell and remains a low end RB2. Remember when Chris Johnson GUARANTEED to rush for 2,500 yards and win MVP, Geno Smith has GUARANTEED the Playoffs to New York in 2014 and Rex Ryan GUARANTEES everything. In other news, ESPN New York expects a timeshare/backfield by committee approach between CJ?K and Powell/Ivory this season. Johnson will see much less volume than he did in Tennessee and shouldn’t be viewed as the option he was in years past.
