Jamaal had Peyton Hillis slowing him down in 2012. Jamaal also had Matt Cassel at QB and a defense that was always banged up, led by an angry teddy bear in Romeo Crennel. Bring in Andy Ried, a healthy defense, and most importantly Alex Smith. Charles could easily move to #4 by the end of the preseason. Alex Smith keeps drives alive, Jamaal just needs his touches. Finally Bowe has a capable QB throwing to him. From Kyle Orton to Matt Cassel and a bunch of QBs who do not play in the NFL ever again after their few game stint with the Chiefs. Bowe gets Alex Smith, and most importantly Andy Reid. Look for the Chiefs to pass the ball often, while also giving the ball to Jamaal Charles often. Smith knows how to get the ball into #1 WR hands, Michael Crabtree had his moments, Bowe is a much better player.
Chet Gresham
The Fake Football
Charles goes into Jacksonville against a team who gave up the third most fantasy points and second most rushing yards per game in the last half of 2012. They have defensive minded coach in Gus Bradley, but a very young defense. It should take them a while to come together. He's the main threat for the Chiefs in the passing game and Reid likes the passing game. The Jaguars defense will be improved under Gus Bradley, but they'll still have trouble getting to the quarterback. Bowe should be able to get a bunch of targets with his competition in the Chiefs lineup not being much.
Staff Rankings
FFLockerRoom
It's the Jaguars, and Jamaal could end up with the weeks highest RB totals.Bowe should be considered a low-end No.2 Fantasy WR with a ton of upside and chance to be a must-start option depending on how he clicks with Alex Smith and develops under Andy Reid. Bowe is worth drafting in Rounds 5-6, any later he's a steal as a 2013 Bounce Back candidate.
Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Jags are soft on D and Charles is primed for a huge season. It should get off to a hot start in week one.Bowe should have a nice start to the year against weak Jags D.
Taylor Smith
NFL Soup
Charles' outstanding comeback season was completely lost in the shuffle of the Chiefs' debacle of a season, but he ran for over 1,500 yards coming off of an ACL injury of his own. His relatively pedestrian touchdown production is the only thing keeping him this low.Andy Reid loves him some big, T.O.-esque receivers, and Dwayne Bowe most certainly fits the bill. Alex Smith isn't great, but he's surely an upgrade over Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn.
Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
It is a perfect storm for Charles. The Jaguars were 29th against fantasy running backs last year and it would be hard to imagine the Jaguars blowing out the Chiefs, which can limit a back's touches. Charles should be the focal point of the Chiefs offense, which should lead to a monster game.Bowe starts his rebound season on a solid note in Jacksonville, a team that was 13th against fantasy receivers last year. Still, Bowe should see too many targets to be anything less than a WR2.

Easily top three in PPR in new offense
Jordan Tozzi
Legion Report
With the addition of Alex Smith and Andy Reid, Charles will be the focus of a Kansas City offense poised for a bounce-back season. Charles finished 2012 with 1,509 rushing yards, but only 5 TDs. He also added 35 receptions for 236 yards and 1 TD. These are impressive stats from a last placed team making replacements and major upgrades in Andy Reid, Alex Smith (QB) and Number 1 Overall Pick – Eric Fisher (Offensive Tackle). That’s a winning combination that can’t be ignored. This Spring Dwayne Bowe predicted he would lead the NFL in catches and in receiving Touchdowns. As far as the passing game goes, Bowe says, “when the real season starts, that’s when you’ll see bombs over Bagdad.”
