The Packers had and have all sorts of ideas planned for Cobb and once he emerged he was able to record 70 yards and/or a touchdown in 10 regular season games. Cobb should be viewed as a No.2 Fantasy WR as he checks in as a Top 15 Fantasy Wide Receiver in 2013.
James Jones is a No.2 Fantasy WR that owners should expect to be drafted in Rounds 5 and 6. All he did last year was lead NFL receivers in touchdowns with 14, pick up career-highs in receptions (64) and yards (784) and finish with 9 games with 10-plus Fantasy points in standard-scoring leagues (tied for 4th-best). Jones served as a monster in the red zone, cashing in 11 of 19 regular-season targets for touchdowns as well as playing in 91.5 percent of the offensive snaps for the Packers.

Chet Gresham
The Fake Football
Cobb is going to get receptions against any defense, so at the very least he's not going to put up a goose egg. In his two games against the 49ers last season (including the playoffs) he was targeted 15 times and caught 14 of those and ran the ball twice. He totaled 124 yards and had no touchdowns, but with his ability that kind of usage is worth starting in any format against any team.
In two games last season Jones averaged 4 receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown. You can't beat that with a stick.

Tozzi Brothers
Legion Report
The Green Bay WR Corps is in chaos Ė Jennings to Minnesota, Nelson injured for 6 Weeks with knee surgery. The rumblings of Cobb having bicep issues are a cause of concern. If Cobb can remain healthy for the 2013 season, his arrow isnít pointing anywhere, but up.
If Nelson misses time, I expect James Jones to easily fill his spot. Jones is more of a Red Zone Target, but with Cobb and Nelson banged up, look for Jones to emerge out of the Packer WR Corps.

Raju Byfield
Win My Fantasy League
Primed to explode as a WR1 but may be had as your WR2 depending on strategy
Solid WR2 upside with WR1 potential in TD heavy formats

Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
The 49ers have a tough defense that ranked 4th against fantasy receivers, but this is Aaron Rodgers they are playing against and Cobb is going to be a huge part of their game plan.

Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
49ers' weakness is pass defense but Cobb could still have trouble blowing up in week 1.
He won't be as good as he was last year, but he'll be more open than Cobb or Nelson in this one.

Staff Rankings
Fantasy Football Freaks
Tough matchup but he needs to avenge his poor performance against the 49ers in last years playoffs.
Hard to followup a 14 TD season and gets a bad matchup week 1. But he does have arguably the leagues best QB throwing to him.

Muntradamus
Beast Dome
Cobb has a chance to be a HUGE X-Factor this season for the Packers. He is quickly turning into Percy Harvin 2.0 which is huge in PPR leagues. We will see Cobb lineup everywhere on the field, even at RB. The only concern on Cobb is how deep this Packers team is. Jordy Nelson is arguably the #1 Target, JerMichael Finley is in a contract year, and James Jones is one of the best #3 WRs in the NFL. Cobb will get his, but he will also lack some weeks.
While we want to get excited about James Jones, the Packers offense has too much talent in 2013. Everything from JerMichael Finley to a contract year, to Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson both being the #1/#2 WRs. James is one of the best 3rd WRs in the league, but his inconsistency could drive you nuts as a fantasy owner.
