Stafford is going to come out passing and will have a big game. Look for him to also throw to Reggie Bush out of the back field. Minnesota gave up the 4th most fantasy points to Quarterbacks last season with 20.6.
Philadelphia gave up the 2nd most fantasy points to Quarterbacks last season with 21.6.

Jon Collins
Fantasy Sports LR

Perhaps a bit too harsh on Griffin here, but, in first week back after seeing no action in preseason/expressing sincere over-eagerness to get back on the field we should expect to see an uneven effort.

Raju Byfield
Win My Fantasy League
Stafford is QB you can wait for in 2013; #1 fantasy QB potential
QB2 and RB2 combined when healthy equals an elite fantasy option

Chet Gresham
The Fake Football
Last season Stafford faced the Vikings twice and threw for over 300 yards each time, but in one game he threw zero touchdowns and in the other he threw three. The good news is he only threw one interception. The Vikings pass defense lost Antoine Winfield and have gotten younger as well. The Lions will have trouble running the ball against the Vikings run defense so we should see plenty of passing.
I think Washington will give Morris a chance to dominate this game to ease RGIII back in, but it's hard to sit him against such a poor pass defense. The Eagles led the league in touchdowns given up through the air. In week 11 he threw for 4 against them last season. I'd really need a top backup to sit him.

Fantasy Football Freaks

He destroyed the Eagles week 11 a year ago: 200 yards and 4 TDs passing and 84 yards on the ground.

Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Stafford plays a Vikings D that allowed the 5th most points to fantasy quarterbacks last year and Stafford had over 300 yards passing in both games against the Vikings last year. Touchdown passes will be the key though, but the Lions are hoping Reggie Bush teamed with Calvin Johnson will help in that department.
RGIII has a dream matchup against an Eagles D that has looked worse in this preseason than they did last season, which is saying something, seeing they ranked just 27th against fantasy quarterbacks last year.

Tozzi Brothers
Legion Report
Stafford has led the NFL in passing attempts the past two seasons. A healthy Ryan Broyles and the addition of Reggie Bush gives Stafford another solid target. The yards will be there, but look for Stafford to bounce-back and split his TD Totals of 41 in 2011 and 20 in 2012. I would expect around 30 TDs this season from Stafford.
Being ranked 9th on our list is simply due to his January 9th ACL tear. Analysts have harped all off-season that Griffin needs to eliminate unnecessary hits when scrambling for extra yardage. His success will be determined by his health and ability to stay on the field. If Adrian Peterson showed us anything last season, it was that coming off major knee surgery and succeeding is definitely possible.

Kevin Roberts
Breaking Football
Stafford slings it a ton and Vikes secondary is a mess. Should equate to solid numbers.
RG3 could be cautious in his first game back, or this could be an explosive shootout. I'll bank on the latter.

Taylor Smith
NFL Soup
Stafford was slow getting out of the gate last year, as he didn't throw more than one TD in any of the Lions' first six games. His touchdown total dropped from 41 in 2011 to 20 last year, but he did get close to the 5,000-yard mark again.
From everything we've heard thus far, there's no reason to expect RGIII won't be ready to roll by opening day. If he is completely healthy, he's a very good fantasy starter. Will the Redskins limit his running opportunities in light of the ACL injury? We'll see.

Muntradamus
Beast Dome
Stafford was plagued by not have a quality #2 WR in 2012. Everyone and their mothers were dropping TDs left and right. If Calvin Johnson missed a game, Stafford would be lucky to eclipse 200 Yards. Not his fault, the Lions just do not have a quality #2 option. So what did the Lions do? Absolutely nothing but add Reggie Bush. Reggie should be special, but that does not solve the problem of a quality downfield #2 WR. Still Staff has the best arm in the NFL and could easily have a huge s...
RG3 is ahead of schedule with his knee. It is too early to say Adrian Peterson, but everyone believes it is exactly that. He has not lost a step, which means he will still be a running threat. That game against SF late in the season will be one to watch. Look for the Redskins to get Alfred Morris the ball more than ever.
