Will push for WR1 numbers when healthy
Could find flex value as long as Gordon is suspended

Should continue to be a PPR machine in this offense. No Decker helps.

Tozzi Brothers
Legion Report
Last year Peyton Manning saw 160 Blitz’s and was only sacked twice. His average time to throw the ball in a Blitz was 2.13 seconds, according to PFF. A reason for Manning’s success against the Blitz last season was his “security blanket’s” in both Wes Welker and Knowshon Moreno. With Moreno gone, Montee Ball isn’t the receiver Moreno was (60 receptions appear out of reach.) You can expect Defenses to continue to put pressure on the 38 year old Peyton Manning and with this you can expect a lot quick passes to Welker again in 2014. However, the concerning part with Wes Welker is that he is just one bad concussion away from ending his career after receiving two in 2013. Consequently, Denver resulted in signing Emmanuel Sanders – who’s able to play a similar role. If he’s able to play a full 17 Game season, we love Welker … but we’re skeptical he’s able to do that in 2014.

Downgrade here b/c of too much uncertainty after his 3rd concussion in a year.

Tom Schriner
FFLockerRoom
He started the 2013 season with a 6-game scoring streak, scoring a total of 8 touchdowns over that span, along with producing at least 9 standard Fantasy points in 8 straight games. Then came Denver’s bye in Week 9, and Welker fell apart. He had just one game with double digits in Fantasy points in his final five outings before missing the last three games of the year with a concussion. I have Welker a bit higher then the majority of others but I still consider Welker a No. 2 Fantasy receiver worth drafting as early as Round 4 or 5 but I like his upside this year if he can remain healthy. If he can stay healthy for 16 games you could be looking at 80-plus receptions, 1,000-plus yards and at least 8 touchdowns.
After getting cut by the Cowboys this spring, receiver Miles Austin re-emerged with the Browns in mid-May. He’s expected to compete for a starting job following the release of Greg Little and the suspension to Josh Gordon. When he’s healthy Austin is a good contributor, capable of regularly snaring three-plus passes per game and being an adequate red-zone threat thanks to his size (6-foot-2, 216 pounds). But Austin has dealt with chronic hamstring problems for years, an issue that impacted his receiving average and his availability last season.

Sablich Brothers
The NY Times
Won't be active until week 6-7.

Derek Lofland
Fantasy Football Maniax
Concussions caught up with Welker this year and he scored only one touchdown from Week 10 to Week 17. I would be concerned about drafting a 33-year old receiver high that has a significant concussion history. I do not think he stays healthy this year. He also has a four game suspension.

James Hatfield
Hatty Waiver Wire Guru
PPR leaguers favorite selection. He will now where the concussion helmet so hoping he remains on the field all of 2014.

Chet Gresham
The Fake Football
I have been wishy washy on Welker this year. His age and concussion history could provide some room for Cody Latimer and Emmanuel Sanders to take a step up at some point, but as long as he's on the field he's going to catch many, many passes.

Pat Fitzmaurice
The Football Girl
Not a sexy choice, but hard to overlook a high-volume WR playing with Peyton.
Anything left in the tank? Hamstrings unlikely to answer in the affirmative.
