If you’re in a typical league, you’ll probably win more than just a title. How big is your prize pool? My main league has a little holiday cash waiting for the winner, but this year I’m lobbying hard to get a traveling trophy done. What better way is there to have a daily reminder of how superior you are to the rest of the league!
Trophies and cash are great, but what else is everyone playing for? With everything on the line, I’d love to hear what everything actually means for you and your league. I recently did a little YouTube “research” on this topic. I couldn’t believe some of the crazy and embarrassing side bets that people make for fantasy football (FYI, surprise slapping and wife slapping seem to be pretty popular wagers).
Now that I’ve talked about Vegas and shared some stupid YouTube videos, I’m ready for the weekend. Just a few notes before I sign off, though:
- Be sure to enter our exclusive contest this week. It’s totally free. Last week we gave away close to $2,500 to our members. All you have to do to win is beat David Dodds from FootballGuys.com or finish in the Top Eight. We’ll be giving away at least $500 for this free contest.
- Take a look at the enhancements we rolled out over the past week to our player pages and our start/sit pages. We now provide tabs that have match-up information based on fantasy points allowed, a side-by-side comparison of historical fantasy points, strength of schedule (SOS), and accuracy scores.
- If you’re looking for some specific fantasy advice about a player, go to The Handoff and click on the “Search” tab. From there you’ll be able to do a custom search across the top fantasy websites and forums. It’s powered by Google but totally tailored to look for fantasy-specific information.
We still have a ton of enhancements and new features planned, so become a member and we’ll keep you posted on major announcements (note that membership is free and we absolutely do not clutter your inbox).
Good luck in the playoffs everyone!
