Beat the Expert: Jamey Eisenberg from CBS Sports

Batter up — it’s “Beat the Expert” time at FantasyPros. We’re leading off Week 1 with our most accurate draft analyst from 2010, Jamey Eisenberg from CBS Sports. Jamey wants to challenge you (or even your grandmother) to a one-week salary cap game. Just set your lineup for Week 1 to see how you stack up against our Draft Accuracy Champ. As detailed below, you may even win some cash and help a worthy cause along the way. Enter our free contest now >>

In addition to bragging rights, you’ll be competing for your share of our $1,000 prize pool. In fact, we’re committed to giving away this amount every week for a total Beat the Expert prize pool of $16,000! As a bonus, anyone that beats Jamey straight up will get $5. If Jamey comes in last place, everyone (including grandmothers, if they sign up) will receive a $5 bonus. All prizes and payouts will be administered by our sponsor, FanDuel.

So what’s in it for Mr. Eisenberg? Jamey is playing for the American Cancer Society. FantasyPros will make donations to several charities this season, based on how the experts perform. The more players the expert beats, the more likely his charity will get a share of our $2,000 fund. It’s our way of ensuring that everyone wins, including some very worthy causes.

About our Featured Pro

Jamey Eisenberg, a member of the Pro Football Writers of America, was born in New York but grew up in Fort Lauderdale (what’s it like to be on spring break all year?). After covering the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat and Florida Marlins for the Palm Beach Post, Jamey landed his current role as a Senior Fantasy Columnist at CBS Sports.

A pretty cool factoid about Jamey is that his cousin is the co-founder of Facebook. OK, not Mark Zuckerberg, but the Oscar nominated actor that plays him in The Social Network. Jamey, if Jesse knows anything about fantasy football (or even if he doesn’t), let him know that we have an open spot in our Beat the Expert competition!

Alright people, since you made it this far, you might as well sign up for the Week 1 contest now! >>
