Mock Draft Your Way to Fantasy Success

It’s a great time to be a fantasy football fan. Training camps are under way and that means fantasy drafts are right around the corner. If you’re like most serious fantasy players, you’re probably in full-fledged draft prep mode, sifting through the endless ways to conquer your league.

Of course, what better way is there to test possible strategies than to try your hand at a few mock drafts? And what if you could run through those practice drafts in seconds and get an instant analysis of the results? Fortunately, you can do all that and more with our new Mock Draft Simulator.

So how can you get started? Let’s walk through the simple steps that will kick start your mock draft experience. We’ll also cover the main features available. If you’d rather jump right into drafting then by all means, go ahead!

Mock Draft Simulation Walkthrough

Step 1: Create a Cheat Sheet partner-arrow

Before you can simulate a mock draft, we need to know a little bit about your player preferences. Luckily, our handy Cheat Sheet Editor (featuring rankings from 80+ experts) allows you to easily accomplish this. Simply check off the experts you want to include and…. voilà.…you’ve created your own consensus rankings in mere seconds.

If that’s not enough, you’ll also be able to customize the rankings through a simple drag-and-drop interface, create player tiers with a click of a button, and import and edit player notes.

Note: Free account signup is required to create cheat sheets.

  • Voting percentages from 80+ experts to help with each draft decision you make.
  • A pick predictor that reveals the % odds players will no longer be available at your next pick.
  • The ability to go through a draft pick by pick or to auto-draft in order to quickly see the type of team you’ll wind up with based on your cheat sheet.
  • Opponent logic settings to draft against Joes (ADP), Pros (Expert Rankings) or a mixture of both.
  • The opportunity to test different strategies by reverting picks to see how outcomes are impacted.

  • A detailed breakdown of your team’s positional strengths and weaknesses.
  • Ratings based off of your ability to draft players ranked high in your cheat sheet.

In addition to receiving an analysis of drafts from our simulator, you can also get a review of any Mock Draft from Yahoo!, ESPN & FF Calculator in addition to an analysis of your real drafts.

The best part of all this is that you can literally go through the process of creating a cheat sheet, running a mock draft and seeing how well your team stacks up in less than a minute’s worth of time. That’s not an exaggeration. We’ve timed the entire 3-step process and it can take as little as 55 seconds!

Of course, if you want to finesse your cheat sheet by adjusting rankings or if you’d like to test different scenarios during the mock, things will take longer. The bottom line is you’re in full control the entire time. Whether you have all day to practice or only limited time, you can still enjoy the Mock Draft Simulator and gain valuable insight either way.
