Dwyane Wade has been dealing with hamstring injuries and is expected to miss their next game with the injury. Michael Wallace of ESPN reports that Wade is officially listed as day-to-day for the Heat. Wade knew right away that he reinjured his hamstring early in the second quarter and was removed from the game with 5:43 left in the first half. This is the second time that Wade strained his hamstring this season, with the first injury causing him to miss seven games. The Heat are 4-4 in games without Wade this year, as he also missed a game with a bruised knee.
Fantasy Impact
Wade has been good for the Heat this year, pacing the team with 22.1 points and 5.6 assists per game. This marks the most points per game for Wade since 2010-2011 and the most assists per game since 2008-2009. A lot more has been expected from Wade with the departure of LeBron James and Wade has responded, becoming a top-20 per game player. He has been over 25 points 13 times this season and is over his career FG% with 49.5% and three-point percentage with 33.3% this season. His volume has risen this year to 17.2 shots per game, but not quite to the 18.4 average from before James signed with the Heat. The Heat will look to James Ennis, Shabazz Napier, and Norris Cole to fill the void in the backcourt left by Wade.
