Pitcher

The Pittsburgh Pirates got killed 7-1 on Tuesday in Pittsburgh by the Cincinnati Reds. The Pirates’ pitching didn’t fare too well against Reds’ hitters, but Cole has been lights out to start the season. Cole has a 4-0 record with a 1.76 ERA and 35 strikeouts. He was also named National League pitcher of the month for April. Cole is going to have to get some offense behind him to get the win, but I look for him to provide another great game.

Catcher

The Atlanta Braves have a great matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies. Pierzynski had a decent game on Tuesday as he scored 2.25 points on FanDuel, but I look for him to offer great value against Philly tonight.

First Base

The Toronto Blue Jays have the worst pitching staff in baseball, which bodes well for the Yankees’ offense, in particular Teixiera. Teixiera has hit a home run in his last two games, and he has 10 on the season to go with 22 RBI. I love the play of Teixeira because his salary is relatively low for a power first baseman, and his production has been off the charts lately.

Second Base

Kendrick has a fantastic matchup against the Brewers once again. Kendrick went 2-for-4 in Tuesday’s game, and he ended the game with 4.5 FanDuel points. Kendrick is another value play because his salary is low considering his consistent production.

Third Base

Carpenter is a beast. He went yard against the Cubbies on Tuesday, which led him to a great night on FanDuel (9.5 points). Carpenter is going to be a great play on Wednesday night because of his previous success against the Cubs.

Shortstop

The Braves absolutely destroyed the Phillies on Tuesday night. Simmons has had back-to-back games with at least 4.5 points on FanDuel. Simmons has gone 3-for-7 thus far in the series, and he is going to be another great value play Wednesday night.

Outfield

Pederson has been hitting the Milwaukee pitching staff extremely well. He has gotten on base five times in the series, but he only scored once. I look for the Dodgers and Pederson to be able to hit the Brewers’ pitching tonight, so any Dodger is a great play should be a good play.

The Kansas City Royals were able to tag the Indians on Monday night without Lorenzo Cain in the lineup. Gordon went 2-for-3 on Tuesday night with an RBI, as he stepped up to fill the void Cain left. Gordon had solid production against the Indians, as he scored 5.75 points on FanDuel. I look for Gordon to have another good performance Wednesday.

The Boston Red Sox have had a great offensive series against the Tampa Bay Rays. Hanley Ramirez injured his left shoulder on Monday when he crashed into the wall in left field trying to make a catch. With this injury, Betts is going to have to step it up today against the Rays, and I look for him to answer the call.
