Best FanDuel Plays for Week 4

With LeSean McCoy sitting out in Week 4, Karlos Williams’ price tag makes him a top option for DFS lineups

The best part of daily fantasy is you have your choice at the best players every single week. The question is, what will that player cost and can you find someone that can produce more on the stat sheet than their price tag.

As we head into Week 4, the Daily Fantasy Accuracy Cup leaderboard remains tight after some big scores in Week 3. Each week, the experts set their lineups in a traditional salary cap game hosted by our friends at FanDuel to compete for the title as the top DFS pundit in the industry. The same experts who put up those big scores last week are now here to share their picks for the upcoming games on Sunday/Monday.

Q. What one player are you most likely to include in your FanDuel lineup for the upcoming week?

Karlos Williams RB, BUF: $6,300 vs. NYG
“Williams has burst onto the scene through three weeks. On only 24 carries, he has three touchdowns and is averaging a robust 7.8 yards per carry. Despite a relatively tough matchup against the New York Giants, he’s a must play this week. The combination of having a dominant defense, a running quarterback and excelling in a small sample size, makes Williams a must play on all sites with LeSean McCoy sitting out this week. Regardless of if you liked him as a player coming out of college or not, you have to love the opportunity and the space he opens up for other positions.”
Russell Clay (Pro Football Focus)

“The player I’m most likely to include in my FanDuel lineup is Karlos Williams of the Buffalo Bills. Last week I tried to fade Devonta Freeman of the Atlanta Falcons at my own detriment. Freeman was guaranteed volume against the Dallas Cowboys, but I decided to fade him in the DFAC based on the single entry and small amount of entries. That move did not work out in my favor as Freeman was the key to many prize winning lineups and actually kept me from finishing higher in the competition. This week, Williams is staring at us at a bargain with LeSean McCoy sure to sit against a Giants defense that isn’t the run stuffer of the 1980’s. With Sammy Watkins also out, the Buffalo Bills will rely on the run even more making Williams impossible to fade in cash and low entry tournaments.”
Dennis Esser (Coach Esser)

Amari Cooper WR, OAK: $7,200 at CHI
“With the Bears defense ranking near last in pass defense, Amari Cooper stands out as a nice pivot from Jordan Matthews and Larry Fitzgerald in that price range. He has 15 receptions in the last two games for over 200 yards, and torched Joe Haden last week. I believe this is the week we see his true ceiling, and makes for a nice pairing with Derek Carr.”
Jason Guilbault (Daily Fantasy Cafe)

Thomas Rawls RB, SEA: $6,000 vs. DET
“A report from Pro Football Talk Saturday claims it’s more than likely Marshawn Lynch does not play Monday night against the Detroit Lions. This creates a huge daily opportunity for backup running back Thomas Rawls, a player I love and talked about throughout the summer. With the possibility of Lynch suiting up, many daily players will not want to gamble by investing in a young backup RB that could not be used if Lynch does in fact play. Yet at $6,000 FanDuel bucks, Rawls may be Week 4’s biggest gem if given a heavy workload. The odds of ownership will be low, which gives you the edge. Go big or go home!”
Mike Rigz (Gridiron Experts)

Latavius Murray RB, OAK: $7,500 at CHI
“Murray checks all the boxes we are looking for in a running back play for daily fantasy. He is a three-down back who can hold his own in the passing game, he gets a high volume of touches every week, and he gets plenty of red zone looks. Those things are going to translate into some big fantasy games, especially in games where the Raiders can manage to take a lead. The Week 4 outlook is promising, as Murray gets to face off against a Bears defense that is allowing 136 rushing yards per game through three contests. His price is still too cheap for his role and recent production, so feel free to use Murray as a great play once again.”
