DraftKings NBA Lineup Advice: Friday October 30
Russell Westbrook is the type of stud to build a lineup around

Russell Westbrook is the type of stud to build a lineup around

Wednesday wasn’t my best lineup advice, as my suggested lineup posted only 221 points. Just like NBA teams who had disappointing starts to their season, it’s time to get on track. With that said, here is another recommended lineup to enter in a tournament on DraftKings tonight.

PG – Russell Westbrook $10,100

Nothing need be said about Westbrook. He is the stud of this roster and while Durant gets back into game rhythm, Westbrook will be the leader of the offense. It’s quite a price, but he will be worth it.

 SG – DeMar DeRozan $7,300

DeMar DeRozan is a prolific scorer, even if he doesn’t do it in the most efficient way. Of the upper-tier but not elite options, DeRozan stands out at SG. He should produce much the same value as Jimmy Butler but with a slight discount.

SF – Gordon Hayward $6,900

The Sixers aren’t much for defense and allowed the Celtics best playmaker, Isaiah Thomas, to drop 27 points. We all know Hayward is capable of that, and tonight will be a good night for him to showcase his scoring ability.

 PF – Julius Randle $5,200

Randle essentially made his NBA debut Wednesday night and the results were fairly impressive. Neither the Lakers nor Kings are known for their defensive prowess, and with lots of possessions for each team in this game, Randle should have opportunity to fill up the stat sheet.

 C – Jonas Valanciunas $6,200

Everyone who is a fantasy basketball player was desperate to see what Valanciunas could accomplish if/when he was given more minutes. Though it was only one game, it seems as if he might be getting that chance, as he received 32 minutes in the Raptors’ opening game. Jahlil Okafor had a lot of success against the Celtics, and a more polished player like Valanciunas should be able to feast on them.

G – Emmanuel Mudiay $5,700

As can be expected in a rookie’s debut, Mudiay had both good and bad moments on Wednesday against the Rockets. The good was a near double-double and a nice shooting performance. The bad was 11 turnovers (that’s not a typo). Still, what we know about Mudiay is that he is a dynamic playmaker, he will see plenty of time on the floor, and is facing a Minnesota Timberwolves’ defense that gave up 111 points to the Lakers in their first game.

F – Rodney Hood $3,900

Hood was actually quite abysmal the first game of the season as he shot 0-for-7 from three point range and 6-for-15 from the field overall. With that said, he took care of the ball, turning the ball over only once, and filled the stat sheet with rebounds and assists. If he can improve his shooting he will provide good value.

Util – Meyers Leonard $4,500

Leonard was one of the few Blazers who couldn’t get on track against New Orleans, as he shot only 5-for-12 from the field. The Blazers should be in another shootout with the Suns Friday, and much like Hood, with an improved shooting performance he is capable of putting up plenty of points while also filling in other stat categories.
