David Perron has been scorching hot since joining the Ducks

Ownership totals are in ESPN leagues as of Wednesday.

Michal Neuvirth (G – PHI) – 49.9 Percent
Since being jettisoned from the Capitals a couple of years ago, Neuvirth bounced around Buffalo, Long Island and now Philly where he has recently been playing lights out. In 26 appearances this season (23 starts), he is currently sporting a .928 SV% to go along with three shutouts. With Steve Mason having some health issues, Neuvirth should be set to get a starter’s workload in the coming weeks.

David Perron (LW – ANA) – 57.8 Percent
Since being swapped for Carl Hagelin, Perron has been working at nearly a point per game pace with 14 points and six goals in 15 games. Playing with Ryan Getzlaf would be a boon to anyone’s production, but it isn’t like he was playing with bums in Pittsburgh – his two most frequent linemates were Phil Kessel and Evgeni Malkin. You can attribute it mostly to luck – the Ducks are shooting an unsustainable 17.4%(!) when Perron is on the ice.

However, considering the Ducks had such a horribly unlucky start to the season (still 29th in the league in SH%), they were due for some regression. So one might be able to ride this wave until the end of the season as the Ducks’ percentages continue to normalize.

Travis Zajac (C – NJ) – 37.4 Percent
Did you guys know Zajac is only 30? It feels like he’s been in the league forever. Anyway, in Zajac’s last 16 games, he has put up a solid 12 points on a Devils’ team that is surprisingly in the playoff picture. There isn’t a lot of flash to Zajac’s game (especially on a somewhat plodding New Jersey Devils) but his consistency, first line minutes and spot in a No. 1 power play unit keep him very fantasy relevant.
