Rajon Rondo sees a nice uptick in usage without DeMarcus Cousins on the court
Here’s a look at DraftKings lineup advice for Friday, March 11 DFS contests.

POINT GUARD
Russell Westbrook (OKC): $10,800 vs. MIN (Proj. Pts – 57.98)
He is Russell Westbrook. That should be more than enough for us to have him in our lineups. He joined Magic Johnson, Isaiah Thomas and Oscar Robertson as the only players with at least 25 points, 20 assists and 10 boards in a game. The Thunder have a huge edge with Westbrook and Durant. Towns and Wiggins will play well for Minnesota but it won’t be enough. The Thunder will get whatever they want offensively against a Timberwolves team that can’t get stops.
SHOOTING GUARD
Vince Carter (MEM): $4,600 vs. NO (Proj. Pts – 26.32)
He is averaging 14.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 three-pointers, 1.4 assists, 1.2 steals and just 1.0 turnovers on 53.5 percent shooting in his last five games. He is the best option in that price range, but for GPP upside you can change Carter for Avery Bradley.
SMALL FORWARD
Jae Crowder (BOS): $5,500 vs. HOU (Proj. Pts – 38.25)
Crowder gets the best matchup tonight. He is averaging 18.8 points, 5.6 boards, 2.6 assists, 1.9 steals, 0.9 blocks and 2.1 treys on 54.3 percent from the field in his last eight games. Very high scoring game with 222 points over/under. Keep in mind the Celtics haven’t lost a home game in two months. Very safe play in cash games and GPP contests.
POWER FORWARD
Aaron Gordon (ORL): $6,700 vs. SAC (Proj. Pts – 37.65)
Nikola Vucevic could miss some time which will lock Gordon into heavy minutes in the front court. The Vegas line for this game didn’t come out yet, but I expect it to be around 215 points with less than a four-point spread. These two squads have gone over the projected total in seven of their last 10 meetings. The Magic are coming off of an ugly loss on the road in L.A. Look for this game to go over the projected total. The Kings are the 24th ranked defense in basketball this season and allow 109.6 points on 46.2 percent shooting. Easy double-double for Gordon tonight.
CENTER
Kosta Koufos (SAC): $3,000 vs. ORL (Proj. Pts – 26.82)
DeMarcus Cousins has been suspended for this game. That opens up a lot of shots, rebounds and minutes for Koufos. He gets a 168% increase in fantasy points when Boogie is off the court. I like his price and his upside in GPP contests. If Koufos is drawing the start, then I would play him in my cash games as well.
GUARD
Goran Dragic (MIA): $6,600 vs. CHI (Proj. Pts – 36.76)
The Heat have the Bulls’ number this season and it helps that Butler probably won’t play. Dragic is averaging 18.2 points, 7.4 assists, 4.8 boards, 1.0 steals and 0.8 three-pointers over his last five games. He is finally rolling and has moved up a notch in the pecking order of the offense. Very safe play for cash games.
FORWARD
Tony Allen (MEM): $4,800 vs. NO (Proj. Pts – 34.21)
The Grizzlies are in a weird way right now with Conley doubtful and Chalmers waived after tearing his Achilles. There are a huge amount of minutes waiting for Allen tonight. The Grizzlies just don’t have anyone right now and he’ll be an “every lineup” guy unless other news comes down. I don’t suspect that to happen.
UTILITY
Rajon Rondo (SAC): $7,800 vs. ORL (Proj. Pts – 45.58)
Rondo gets significant usage bumps when Cousins isn’t on the court. Expect him to see increased shots. He is averaging 40 fantasy points without Cousins and that would be enough for him to pay his value, but I expect more from him. His usual double-double is pretty much guaranteed tonight, but I can see him finishing the game with a triple-double. Very safe play in cash games and GPP contests.
