The first Wednesday of March brings us a healthy 11-game schedule to attack and there are a lot of great fantasy situations worth targeting tonight. Let’s take a look at a tournament lineup for DraftKings.

Point Guard
D’Angelo Russell (LAL): $5,800 @ DEN
Russell’s price has finally adjusted to his new role, but it’s still not where it should be. Over the last five games, he’s averaged nearly 36 fantasy points per contest, which would still clear his current value threshold. He flashed some major upside in his last game, scoring 55.5 fantasy points, and he has another great matchup tonight to try and produce another big game. Emmanuel Mudiay is a poor defender, sporting a 109 defensive rating, and Denver has struggled against point guards overall. Lock Russell into your lineups as two defensively challenged squads should provide plenty of fantasy goodness.
Shooting Guard
Danny Green (SA): $4,800 vs. DET
Green is a volatile producer, which introduces risk, but that’s worth embracing in tournament play. His ability to knock down three-point shots gives him a nice bonus with DraftKings’ scoring system. He should see stable minutes with Manu Ginobili on the shelf, and the matchup is above average tonight against the Pistons. Green’s floor is low, but he has fantasy production upside of seven times his current salary.
Small Forward
Lance Stephenson (MEM): $4,300 vs. SAC
This is a massive boost in terms of pace for Memphis as they face Sacramento, who ranks first in that category. The Kings are also deplorable on defense and turn the ball over at a high rate. Enter Stephenson, who has fit in well with his new team off of the bench. It would be nice to get starter’s minutes, but he’s been productive in the five games he’s played for the Grizzlies. He’s averaged just under six times his current salary in fantasy production, but with a phenomenal matchup and a bump in pace, he could exceed that multiple tonight.
Power Forward
Darrell Arthur (DEN): $3,900 vs. LAL
Arthur has seen his minutes increase over the last two games as Danilo Gallinari is injured and Jusuf Nurkic appears to be out of the rotation. He could see an even bigger bump in playing time if Kenneth Faried, who is questionable, misses tonight’s game. The matchup is a great one against the Lakers and this low price is worth taking advantage of.
Center
Dwight Howard (HOU): $7,600 vs. NO
Simply put, Howard is too cheap given his recent stretch of production for Houston. Over the last eight games, he’s averaged 42 fantasy points per contest and he draws a great matchup tonight. Over the last five games, the Pelicans have allowed a whopping 14 fantasy points more per game to opposing centers when compared to their season average. The Rockets are clinging to a slim lead for the eighth seed in the playoffs, so Howard should see a full workload tonight. This game has a projected total of 219 points, which should mean plenty of opportunities for Howard to produce.
Guard
Mario Hezonja (SG – ORL): $3,700 vs. CHI
Hezonja came back to earth last night and he lost some playing time as he struggled early in the game. Scott Skiles can be tough to trust in regards to minutes, but I think it’s worth rolling the dice on Hezonja if Evan Fourier remains out tonight. The matchup is a decent one and I don’t think fantasy production of six times his salary is out of the question tonight.
Forward
Anthony Davis (PF – NO): $10,100 @ HOU
Davis is currently listed as questionable for tonight’s game, but he did get a full practice in yesterday, so I expect him to be able to play. There’s always risk with Davis due to his propensity to get injured, but his upside is undeniable. If Davis plays, he is a great option as the Rockets present a phenomenal matchup for opposing power forwards.
Utility
Chris Paul (PG – LAC): $9,800 vs. OKC
Paul is carrying the Clippers as they try to chase down Oklahoma City for the third seed in the Western Conference. They have a great chance to cut into that lead tonight as they host the Thunder in a game that has a 220.5 projected point total. The spread is currently just one point, so Paul is likely looking at heavy minutes. He’s averaged 53.7 fantasy points per game over the last five contests, and he comes at a meaningful discount to his counterpart, Russell Westbrook. In the last 14 matchups, Paul has gotten the best of Westbrook, averaging a full 10 fantasy points more per game. As an added bonus, Westbrook’s turnover issues serve as a nice boost to Paul’s fantasy value tonight.
