DeAngelo Williams should be highly owned Week 3 considering his heavy expected volume

Player Position Matchup Own %

Quarterback

Drew Brees (NO): $9,000 vs. ATL 14% Own%
If you decide to play the Sunday-Monday slate on FanDuel, you should consider using Brees. This game currently has the highest team total and historically Brees has been much better at home compared to on the road. The Falcons pass defense was shredded by Jameis Winston in Week 1 and then again in Week 2 by Derek Carr. Look for Brees to do the same in Week 3.

Running Back

DeAngelo Williams (PIT): $8,800 at PHI 26.8% Own%
Williams has been a workhorse through two games this season with over 30 touches in each contest. The Steelers will not be hesitant to give him a heavy workload again this week against the Eagles since Le’Veon Bell will be returning from suspension in Week 4. Williams is a great cash game option for Week 3, but I would probably prefer to use David Johnson or another running back for GPPs.

Wide Receiver

Julio Jones (ATL): $9,300 at NO 23.5% Own%
Even though the Giants failed to score an offensive touchdown against the Saints in Week 2, we cannot forget that the Saints’ defense is still terrible. Jones tore apart the Saints’ secondary last season, with 242 receiving yards and 15 receptions in two games. Jones is currently listed as questionable for Monday night’s game, so be sure to pay close attention to the Falcons’ injury report on Saturday. Jones makes for a great cash game play in Week 3. However, I would probably use Jacob Tamme in my GPP lineup to get exposure to this offense instead since Jones will likely have such a high ownership percentage.

Tight End

Antonio Gates (SD): $5,000 at JAC 17.8% Own%
Right now Antonio Gates leads the projected ownership percentage at TEs. However, he is currently listed as doubtful on the injury report. If he does suit up, though, he will be a great option against the Colts’ defense. His injury should at least lessen his ownership as kickoff approaches.

Kicker

Dan Bailey (DAL): $4,700 vs. CHI 13.1% Own%
Bailey and the Cowboys’ offense should be in a great spot to put up some points against the Bears’ since Chicago will be missing key pieces on defense. Bailey should be considered for cash games, but you should probably use a kicker who is projected to be less than 10% owned in your GPP lineup.

D/ST

Panthers: $5,000 vs. MIN 19.5% Own%
The Panthers have one of the best defenses in the NFL and the Vikings’ running game will probably be limited until they discover who the best option is for replacing Adrian Peterson. Bradford looked solid in his debut with the Vikings in Week 3, but his matchup this week is much more difficult than what he faced against the Packers in Week 2. Defense is definitely a spot where you should be contrarian in your GPPs, so I would not recommend using the Panthers at close to a 20% projected ownership.
