Adam Humphries should get some good opportunities against the 49ers on Sunday with Vincent Jackson gone

Hopefully you got off to a good start on Thursday with Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, Randall Cobb or Ty Montgomery. For those of you who started Cameron Meredith… that’s football. In many ways, he’s the perfect example of how things are unpredicatable, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t factors that can generally lead us to better lineup decisions.

To help, with some of those lineup decision, we’ve asked our featured experts to name who they feel could produce this weekend while also telling us who you may want to consider sitting.

If you don’t see any of your players listed below, be sure to check out our Who Should I Start? tool. You can also import your team into My Playbook for instant suggestions specific to your players.

Q1. Give us a player outside of our top 100 Flex that represents a deep sleeper start.

Adam Humphries (WR – TB)/Cameron Brate (TE – TB): at SF
“Both are going to immediately benefit from Vincent Jackson being placed on the IR. The 49ers will likely give as much attention to Mike Evans in order to “try” and stop him. This could open up some wide open targets for my two picks. If you are thin at either WR or TE, these make for decent plug-and-plays this week.”
Sean Koerner (STATS)

Marqise Lee (WR – JAC): vs. OAK
“Lee is a deep sleeper I like for PPR leagues this week against a Raiders defense that ranks toward the bottom at defending the pass. Finally healthy, Lee has started to come on a bit over the last few weeks as a solid slot option for the Jags. I could easily see Lee getting 5 to 6 receptions with a shot at the end zone.”
Scott Smith (RotoViz)

Antonio Gates (TE – SD): at ATL
“Hunter Henry is the shiny new toy in San Diego, but don’t forget about the TE version of Atari, Antonio Gates. While he was out-snapped and out-targeted by Henry last week, Gates actually ran more pass routes (22 to 19). Both guys are starting options for Week 7 against a Falcons defense that’s allowed the 4th most fantasy points to TEs.”
Jared Smola (Draft Sharks)

Tyler Lockett (WR – SEA): at ARI
“I’m curious to see what Tyler Lockett can do this week in Arizona. With Patrick Peterson playing at such a high level and sure to be seeing a decent amount of Doug Baldwin, Lockett could be primed for a couple of big plays against Cooper on the other side of the field. We know he’s struggled with injuries early on this year and I think this game may be an opportunity for him to break out for the first time this season.”
Andy Holloway (The Fantasy Footballers)

Charles Clay (TE – BUF): at MIA
“Don’t look now, but Charles Clay has 5 catches in three consecutive games. It’s a breath of fresh air to see consistency at the TE position, and the Bills face a bottom feeder in Miami this week. Buffalo is smokin’ hot right now, riding a 4 game win streak, while averaging 32 PPG. Clay has become Tyrod Taylor’s favorite target as of recent, due to their weak WR group, and should maintain that role on Sunday.”
Addison Witt (Fantasy Team Advice)

Tyler Eifert (TE – CIN): vs. CLE
“Obviously, my pick goes straight out the window if he can’t play, but it does appear that Tyler Eifert will make his 2016 debut. If so, he needs to be in your lineup immediately. The Bengals need Eifert’s red zone presence in a bad way. The Bengals have the second lowest red zone targets to touchdowns percentage at 10.4. Only the Texans are worse. Even if Eifert is limited to half his normal work, a touchdown would put him firmly inside the Top 100 and in TE1 territory.”

Q2. On the flip side, what player inside the top 35 Flex is likely to disappoint fantasy owners this week?

Brandin Cooks (WR – NO): at KC
“In case you were not aware, the Saints offense is fairly mediocre on the road. Cooks is no exception and he continues to dominate at home and struggle on the road this season. So far in a 2 game sample, he is averaging 5 receptions for 50 yards and 0 touchdowns on the road this year. He is more of a WR2 this week in a less than ideal matchup.”
Sean Koerner (STATS)

Brandin Cooks isn’t the same player on the road as he is inside the Superdome. He’s averaged 18.9 PPR points in 16 career home games, but just 11.9 in 15 on the road. And he’s done nothing to reverse that trend in 2016, posting lines of 7-68 and 3-31 in his 2 games away from home. Cooks is more of a WR2/3 for Week 7.”
Jared Smola (Draft Sharks)

Brandin Cooks may struggle against Marcus Peters and the Chiefs, in Kansas City. The Saints are averaging 36 PPG at home this season, but only 24 PPG on the road. Cooks is coming off a monster 7/173/1 performance last week, so I bet he will be a main focus of the Chiefs’ defensive game plan. Cooks has already put up two duds this season (7/68/0 in Week 2 and 3/31/0 in Week 4), so we know he is capable of disappointing.”
Addison Witt (Fantasy Team Advice)

Christine Michael (RB – SEA): at ARI
“I think Christine Michael is going to find some tough sledding in Arizona. If he finds his way into the end zone he’ll be alright for fantasy owners, but the Cardinals run defense at home this season has been dominant and has come together even more in recent weeks. Michael will have to sneak a goal line carry across to deliver on the top 15 Flex value that he’s listed at right now.”
Andy Holloway (The Fantasy Footballers)

Marvin Jones (WR – DET): vs. WAS
“Jones has been among the best buys at the WR position this season. His market share has, however, slipped below 20% over the last couple of weeks making him a TD-dependent play. Given the improved play of the Redskins defense as of late and the presence of Josh Norman in this game, I would have to wonder if Jones could disappoint in Week 7.”
Scott Smith (RotoViz)

LeGarrette Blount (RB – NE): at PIT
“Blount’s ranking is a bit aggressive. This game can easily get out of hand with Landry Jones at quarterback for the Steelers, but as we’ve seen time and again, the Patriots don’t stop passing just because they’re up by three, four, or five scores. Blount averaged just 2.1 YPC against the Browns of all teams, and the Steelers power run defense is much better. If Blount doesn’t score, there is no way he reaches the Top 70, let alone Top 35.”
