More important than the actual draft itself is drafting players whose names you can turn into a great fantasy team names. It was literally the only reason I would draft Brandon Weeden at the end of fantasy drafts (Weeden Start the Fire).

While I love a great fantasy team name, it’s become harder and harder over the years to create original team names that are also quite good. The goal here is to provide you with high-quality and original fantasy team names for 2017 that you hopefully haven’t heard or seen elsewhere. This is a difficult task with all of the websites out there dedicated to “funny” fantasy team names and Matthew Berry listing the best ones he has heard every year.

The most difficult caveat though? Keeping it clean. The funniest team names are generally the dirtiest (all former owners of Justin Forsett nod in agreement). However, this is a family-friendly website we have here at FantasyPros which means that these team names are going to be relatively clean. Maybe consider these for your work league then.

Ok, now of course there’s a possibility that you’ve seen or heard these somewhere else, but I can assure you that I believe these to be 100% original. Without further ado, here are 12 fantasy team names for 2017:

So there’s 12. Good, bad, or indifferent, I gave it my best shot, and I kept it clean. A true feat. Just remember to reach a round or two for one of these guys so that you have a great team name this year.
