FanDuel MLB Lineup Advice: Wednesday (8/22)

It’s another Wednesday with a 10-game slate on FanDuel. There is a game in Colorado, so of course, there will be a desire to spend up in a few spots tonight. We’re past the quarter-pole and teams that are out of it are starting to give younger guys a little more run with new faces getting the call. As lineups shake-up across the league, it’s important to catch some young talent on the rise with near MLB debut prices. We need to continue to exploit the cheap price tags in order to get those expensive pieces in our lineups. There are a lot of options out there, here are some I really like tonight.

Pitcher

Jon Lester (CHC): $7,700 @ DET

Lester (-184) gets the Tigers woeful lineup after a strong outing. He has had his struggles of late but is this matchup is a nice one. The Tigers have been the absolute worst against righties since June but they’re not much better against southpaws either. They’re basically bottom-5 in MLB in most advanced metrics including team ISO, wOBA and wRC+. Nick Castellanos is the only threat in the entire lineup so I’ll roll Lester in both cash and tournaments.
