FanDuel NBA Lineup Advice: Friday (3/8)

There are nine games on the FanDuel main slate tonight. FanDuel has a variety of contests from high-dollar tournaments to $0.25 contests. There is a little something for everyone. This is an interesting slate of games tonight as four of the games have projected totals of at least 230 points (the Houston-Philadelphia game doesn’t have a posted total yet), while four games are below 220. The Thunder-Clippers game has a 236-point projected total with a close spread.

There are 15 healthy players that are priced at $9,000 or higher with nine of the players priced in the five-digit range. Even though there is a lot of star power and high-priced players on this slate, there are two players that are head and shoulder above everyone else on the pricing scale. James Harden ($12,000) and Russell Westbrook ($11,700) are the two highest-priced players by far.

There are a lot of ways to construct lineups. Stacking the games that are projected to be higher scoring is never a bad option. You can also look to take the Stars-and-Scrubs approach, where you essentially play higher-priced players and then find low-cost value plays and punt plays to round out your roster. If you don’t feel good about the high-end or low-end players, then you can take a balanced approach, which minimizes your risk but it also can limit your upside. The scores in GPPs should be higher tonight, but I choose to go with a balanced lineup with players that have shown an ability to put up big numbers. I wanted to get access to as many of the top players as possible without paying up for the big guys (Harden, Westbrook, Jokic, or George).
