We have a collection of MLB games all day long on Wednesday, but this article will zero in on the five-game evening slate. With a small slate, our options are limited, especially when searching for value bats pending the announcement of starting lineups. So, at least for now, we’ll need to focus on a balanced lineup construction that foregoes the high-priced studs on the mound and at the plate.

Pitchers
Ross Stripling (LAD): $10,200 vs. SF
There are only three pitchers on the evening slate that pique my interest. While Gerrit Cole is a strong option as a big road favorite against the Rangers, fitting him in will be difficult. So instead, we’ll drop down and save a few bucks with Ross Stripling and the Dodgers who are actually the biggest Vegas favorite on the board. He threw 5 1/3 scoreless innings in his season debut with five strikeouts. Stripling will be at home against a Giants team that has ranked 27th in wOBA (.292), 29th in ISO (.130), and fourth in strikeout rate (24.4%) against righties over the last season-plus.
