DraftKings MLB Lineup Advice: Saturday (7/13)

It was a fun All-Star break, but I’m ecstatic to be back to the regular-season grind. That’s what it’s all about for baseball fans and DFS players. This fascinating slate has a ton of great hitting options, so I’m going to take a different route with pitching. You’ll see why with my first recommendation!

Pitcher

Zach Davies (MIL): $5,400 vs. SF
With Coors Field and so many great hitters on the board, let’s go super cheap at pitcher. While Davies’ peripherals certainly aren’t pretty, he has been way too steady to be only $5,400. When’s the last time you’ve seen a pitcher with a 3.07 ERA priced below $7,000, let alone $6,000? That puts him in play, particularly against an offense like this. The Giants currently rank 26th in runs scored and 28th in both OPS and wOBA. That’s why Davies enters this game as a -130 favorite with a game total of 8.5. All we need is 15 DraftKings points from the Milwaukee righty to reach 3X value, and that appears to be his floor in this quality matchup.

Catcher

Omar Narvaez (SEA): $4,400 vs. LAA
I definitely want to get some bats in there against Matt Harvey. The former Dark Knight has turned more into a green light, pitching to a 7.50 ERA and 1.52 WHIP so far this season. Those are the ugly numbers we’ve become accustomed to over recent years, and it’s clear injuries have taken their toll on him. That’s huge for a talented catcher like Narvaez, who is providing a .299 AVG and .489 SLG against righties this season.
