Once Memorial Day passes, it’s officially time to start looking at your place in the standings. Whether your hot or cold starts are warranted, the fact is that we have enough data to understand the type of team you have and, more importantly, the type you don’t.

You’ve heard the phrase “fortune favors the bold.” In fantasy baseball, I prefer “fortune rarely favors the cautious.” In other words, there’s no need to make wild moves where everything needs to break perfectly to pan out. But you can, and should, be aggressive in trying to address your team’s weaknesses, especially in the trade market.

A reminder that these values are designed for 12-team rotisserie leagues, though they should be useful in all formats. And don’t be married to them. Use them as a guide to find the right deal, but nothing more.
