Rhamondre Stevenson: Week 11’s Top Waiver Wire Target (2021 Fantasy Football)

Rhamondre Stevenson: Week 11’s Top Waiver Wire Target (2021 Fantasy Football)

It was quite an interesting week atop the running back fantasy leaderboards. While there were some expected familiar faces filling the top spots, New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson checked in at No. 2 overall for Week 10 scoring for each scoring format (half-PPR, PPR, and standard).

Stevenson and the Patriots trounced the Cleveland Browns. As a result, the rookie out of Oklahoma is a hot waiver wire topic entering Week 11. We’re here to tell you why you should prioritize Stevenson and how much of your remaining free-agent budget you should allocate to the breakout RB.

Stevenson torched a strong Browns run defense for 114 total yards and two touchdowns. If Damien Harris isn’t able to recover from his concussion in time for next week’s game against the Falcons, then Stevenson will be a strong RB2 at worst. But even if Harris does return, Stevenson has shown in enough in this game (and previous ones) to warrant a bigger piece of the running back pie. Your worst-case scenario with this pickup is a flex play in Week 11, and your best-case scenario is a week-winner. He’s worth a significant FAB investment and your number one waiver-wire claim.

Stevenson was my top waiver wire pickup ahead of Week 10, as it was a quiet week, and I was banking on the upside the Patriots’ RB carried. Boy did he deliver. Unfortunately, he’s going to cost you many more FAB dollars than he did a week ago after trampling the Browns for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Even with Damien Harris likely back from a concussion this week, Stevenson will continue to have a fantasy-relevant role in a conservative, RB-centric offense. If you’re in a waiver priority league, Stevenson is worth burning the No. 1 priority.
