Dynasty IDP Rookie Prospect Profile
Christian Harris is tough to nail down, but the word ‘inconsistent’ comes up a lot with him. Harris has great length and measurables, including the 2nd best 40 time among LBs (4.44). He has a good football IQ as one of 2 play callers on the Alabama defense, but there are questions about his effort level, which can usually be corrected at the NFL level. Harris is known as a ‘coverage’ LB in that he is mainly used in coverage as an LB (more coverage snaps in 2021 than run/pass rush snaps), which fits for the current NFL. Harris is the ultimate ‘Jack of all trades but master of none’ type of player; he’s fast enough to play in coverage, has enough pass rush moves to get after the QB, and is stout in the run but doesn’t excel anywhere. Harris is a bit of a project but should be able to stay on the field and has a super high ceiling.

Landing Spot and Dynasty Outlook
Christian Harris – Houston Texans, Pick 75
I like this landing spot for Harris because the Texans are fairly LB needy. Harris should start as the 3rd or Nickel/LB and will most likely get some steady playing time later in the season especially with Kirksey’s injury history. Harris is a project but he has a ton of speed and can tackle, he should be able to work on his craft on the field this season and if he plays well enough a starting gig should be there for him in 2023.
