Let’s take a look at the latest injury news and notes around fantasy baseball.
Grayson Rodriguez exits Triple-A start early Wednesday
Orioles prospect Grayson Rodriguez left his Wednesday night start for Triple-A Norfolk after 5 2/3 innings pitched with right lat discomfort. He was met on the mound by the Tides manager and head athletic trainer and headed to the dugout after a short discussion. (Source: Dan Connolly on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact: Rodriguez was cruising before leaving the game, only allowing two hits while striking out four. He left with right lat discomfort and the Orioles should update if further testing will be required.

Rodriguez is one of the top pitching prospects in baseball, and fantasy managers in all formats held their collective breath last night when he left with a trainer. It appears as if he has avoided a significant injury, but it does sound as if the team and young pitcher disagree somewhat about what he is feeling.
Additional testing should confirm the diagnosis, but expect the Orioles to be cautious with the top prospect. A promotion to the big leagues appeared imminent for the young righthander, but this setback may alter his timeline by a few weeks.
