Six high-floor WRs

Keenan Allen (LAC)

Check the resumé. Since 2017, Allen has:

  • Finished no less than WR14 in PPR, WR9 on average
  • Recorded no less than 97 rec. in a season, with an average of 101.8 per year
  • Targeted no less than 136 times, averaging 149.6 per year

Allen lacks upside in the yards/TD department (avg: 1,183.6/6.4 per season), but as far as floors go, Allen possesses one of if not THE highest floor among all fantasy WRs.

Stefon Diggs (BUF)

Diggs is a great example of a high-floor WR. He has finished as top-10 WR (with over 100 receptions) in three of the last four seasons.

Since joining the Bills, Diggs leads the NFL in targets, averaging 164 per season. He’s also recorded no less than 103 receptions, 1,225 yards and eight TDs. He averages a PPR finish of WR5, with 306.5 points per season.

Playing with the back-to-back fantasy QB1, not only does Diggs have a floor that is borderline elite, he also possesses tremendous upside as well.

Mike Evans (TB)

By now, everyone has heard the stat. Mike Evans is the only receiver in NFL history to begin his career with eight consecutive 1,000-yard seasons.  He has flashed monstrous potential, finishing with as many as 1,524 yards in a season, and as many as 14TDs.

Since Tom Brady became a Buccaneer, Evans averages 13.5 TDs per season.

Anyone that has drafted Evans is all too familiar with the weekly boom/bust nature to his game. But in terms of season-long production, he is as high-floor as they come.

Tee Higgins (CIN)

Higgins is the new Robert Woods. He may not knock your socks off each week, but he’s a great bet for safe production.

In fact, Higgins has double-digit PPR points in 20 of his 30 career games (66 percent).

As a rookie, he racked up 108 targets, and 908 yards. He improved upon both of those marks (in two less games) the following season.

His career is still young, and he has already displayed a high-floor. The best part is: he has barely scratched the surface of what he’s capable of. Higgins projects as a high-floor WR for years to come.

Brandin Cooks (HOU)

Sure, having the Texans top WR may not be the most exciting idea. However, you can’t deny the facts. Playing with Davis Mills in 2021, Cooks set career-highs in targets (134) and receptions (90).

Cooks has proved his reliable floor by finishing with 1,000+ yards in six of his last seven seasons. He has been a top-20 WR in all those seasons.

If you remove an injury-plagued 2019 season, his average PPR finish since 2015 is WR14.

With an eight-year sample size, it’s safe to say Cooks possesses a fairly high-floor.

Michael Thomas (NO)

It’s no secret that Thomas has struggled with injuries for the past few seasons.

However, before his rough patch, Thomas began his career with four consecutive top-seven WR seasons, including a WR1 overall finish. He is still the record holder for most receptions in a single-season.

A healthy Michael Thomas averages a stat-line of 117-1378-8 and has never drawn less than 121 targets.

If he can finally overcome his injury woes, he would likely re-establish himself as the poster child for high-floor WRs.
