Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Brian Robinson Jr. remains without a timetable to return

Ron Rivera said there’s no timetable for Brian Robinson’s return. (Source: John Keim on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Rivera added that every time they put a progress marker out there for him he “keeps going forward.” As Robinson looks to make a miraculous return from being shot in a robbery attempt, he appears to be trending in the right direction but when exactly he makes his debut remains an unknown.

D’Andre Swift (shoulder) misses practice

Fantasy Impact: Swift is dealing with a shoulder injury and is considered day-to-day. The hope is that he will be able to practice in some fashion later this week ahead of suiting up this weekend, but that remains to be seen. Fantasy managers should be preparing to be without Swift for Week 4. Jamaal Williams should see a massive usage boost with Swift sidelined but will likely cede some work to Craig Reynolds and possibly even Justin Jackson. Consider Williams a high-end RB2 option with RB1 upside if Swift misses time. If Swift does suit up, he will likely be more low-end RB2 than RB1 due to the risk of a reduced snap count. This is a situation to monitor.

Zach Wilson cleared, set to start in Week 4

Fantasy Impact: Wilson is set to make his 2022 regular season debut after missing the first three weeks of the season with a knee injury. Wilson suffered a meniscus tear in his right knee during the preseason opener which lead to knee surgery in mid-August. The Jets’ primary pass catchers should see a bump in production with the return of Wilson.

Dak Prescott not expected to play Week 4, has outside chance for Week 5

Dak Prescott had the stitches removed from his surgically-repaired thumb and is not expected to practice Wednesday ahead of Week 4. As of right now, he is expected to be out again for the Cowboys’ game against the Commanders. (Source: Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: There is optimism that Prescott will be ready to go for Week 5’s matchup against the Rams, though that is still considered somewhat of a long shot. The 29-year-old quarterback injured his thumb in Week 1, and backup QB Cooper Rush has helped lead Dallas to wins in Weeks 2 and 3. Fantasy managers should continue to be patient and hope Prescott will return for Week 5 and beyond.
