Fantasy Football Injury Updates
Cooper Kupp suffers high-ankle sprain, negative X-rays
According to Jordan Rodrigue of The Athletic, WR Cooper Kupp’s X-rays came back negative. Kupp suffered a high-ankle sprain, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. He will receive further testing to determine the extent of the injury.
It was reported that Kupp had dodged a major injury, though he was still expected to miss some time. A high-ankle sprain would take Kupp out for multiple weeks most likely, but it won’t be season-ending. Kupp and the Rams will determine how long he will be out. With Kupp out, the Rams’ offense does not have a lot to look forward to in terms of fantasy.
Mark Andrews has a ‘really good chance’ of returning in Week 11
John Harbaugh said TE Mark Andrews has a “really good chance” of playing Sunday against the Panthers.
Andrews was sidelined in Week 9 for the Ravens prior to the bye this past week. His status at practice will still need to be monitored throughout the week, but Andrews appears on track to returning this weekend against Carolina.
Keenan Allen (hamstring) set to practice this week
HC Brandon Staley announced that Keenan Allen is expected to practice ahead of Week 11.
Allen has missed the previous two games after reaggravating his initial injury but could be set to return against the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. His status will certainly depend on how his hamstring reacts to practice reps throughout the week. Justin Herbert desperately needs Allen back on the field, as he has struggled mightily without his top slot receiver.
Mike Williams (ankle) will practice ahead of Week 11 tilt
WR Mike Williams is in line to practice ahead of the Chargers’ Week 11 divisional matchup with the Chiefs.
Williams went down with a high-ankle sprain against the Seahawks in Week 7 and has been sidelined since. Head Coach Brandon Staley noted that he expects Williams to be back on the practice field this week. Williams’ return to the lineup would be a huge boost for Justin Herbert and the passing attack in what could play out as a high-scoring affair on Sunday Night Football.
