Fantasy Football Injury Updates

Trevor Lawrence (foot) does not practice Thursday

Trevor Lawrence (foot) did not practice Thursday, as the Jacksonville Jaguars prepare for their Week 14 game against the Tennessee Titans.

Fantasy Impact

Lawrence has yet to practice this week, although the signal caller said he plans to play Sunday. Fantasy owners will hope to at least see a limited practice session from the quarterback on Friday. If Lawrence is unable to play, expect backup C.J. Beathard to be tasked with finding a way to move the ball downfield against a decent Tennessee secondary.

Joe Mixon expected to play in Week 14

Joe Mixon is excepted to play Sunday against the Browns after missing the last two games with a concussion.

Fantasy Impact

Mixon returned to practice and was a full participant on Wednesday. This is great news for fantasy managers as Mixon should return against the Browns’ defense in Week 14. Fantasy managers should feel comfortable adding Mixon back into their lineups.

Brandin Cooks (calf) expected to miss Week 14

Brandin Cooks (calf) is expected to miss the Texans’ Week 14 game against Dallas.

Fantasy Impact

Cooks was absent from practice Sunday and it now appears as if he will miss another game with a calf injury. With Nico Collins likely out Sunday as well, fantasy managers should expect Chris Moore and Phillip Dorsett to see the bulk of the targets. Fantasy managers should stay away from the Texans’ offense in Week 14 as they play a tough Dallas defense.

Nico Collins (foot) trending towards missing Week 14

Nico Collins (foot) is trending towards missing Week 14 against Dallas.

Fantasy Impact

Collins has missed practice the last two days and appears to be trending towards missing Sunday’s game. With Brandin Cooks expected to miss the game as well, the Texans are going to be without their top two wide receivers. Fantasy managers should avoid the Texans’ offense in a difficult matchup against the Cowboys.
