Pablo Lopez traded to Twins
Pablo Lopez has been traded to the Minnesota Twins for Luiz Arraez. More players are expected to be included in the trade.
Fantasy Impact
The Twins have been searching for starting pitching since the trade deadline of last year and will look to Lopez to be a fixture at the top of their rotation. The 26-year-old had a slightly down 2022 season compared to 2021, but still held a 3.75 ERA and 8.7 K/9 in over 180 innings. He will benefit from a much weaker division as well and could be a nice value pick in upcoming drafts.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. moving to center field
Jazz Chisolm Jr. will move to center field following the Marlins’ acquisition of Luis Arraez.
Fantasy Impact
There was some question as to how things would shake out with Chisolm, Arraez, and Jean Segura in the Marlins lineup, but the current plan is for Arraez to play 2B, Segura to play 3B, and Chisholm to play CF. This will eventually hurt Chisholm’s value when he loses eligibility at 2B, but he will still be a good source of power and speed in an improved Marlins lineup.

Ozzie Albies (finger) has had no restrictions during offseason
Ozzie Albies (finger) has not had any restrictions during the offseason.
Fantasy Impact
After missing the final few weeks of the regular season and the Braves’ divisional-round defeat in October due to a broken pinky finger, Albies has stated that he would have been ready to go had his club advanced to the National League Championship Series. The All-Star second baseman was limited to just 64 games due to multiple injuries in 2022. Albies is looking for a rebound in 2023.

Adam Duvall signing one-year deal with Red Sox
Adam Duvall is in agreement on a one-year, $7 million deal with the Boston Red Sox. He can make up to $10 million with performance incentives.
Fantasy Impact
The Red Sox were in need of some power in their lineup and they will look to Duvall to bring some. He will likely split time at DH with Justin Turner, but should also get some playing time in the outfield as well. Duvall hit .213/.276/.401 with 12 HRs in 86 games with the Braves in 2022.
