Trevor Story underwent surgery on his right elbow Monday. He had an internal bracing procedure of the right ulnar collateral ligament.
Fantasy Impact
There currently is no timetable provided on when the Red Sox expect Story to be back. Regardless, this is a major blow for the Red Sox’s offense. General manager Chaim Bloom is scheduled to speak later today, so we should have more information on Story’s timetable soon.

Zach Thompson traded to Blue Jays
Zach Thompson has been traded to the Toronto Blue Jays for OF Chavez Young. RHP Junior Fernandez has been DFA’d by the Blue Jays to make room for Thompson.
Fantasy Impact
Thompson threw 121.2 innings for the Pirates in 2022, sporting a 5.18 ERA and a 90/46 K/BB ratio. He will join the Blue Jays bullpen and may serve as depth for the starting rotation in the event of an injury.

Carlos Correa finalizing a six-year, $200 million deal with Twins
The Minnesota Twins and shortstop Carlos Correa have agreed upon a six-year, $200 million contract, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
Fantasy Impact
The deal is still contingent upon the veteran infielder passing a physical, which isn’t a given at this point. Nevertheless, this would be a massive move for the Twins and blow to Mets fans everywhere. The contract has a vesting option that can max out at $270 million.
