Drew Sanders Dynasty Rookie Draft Outlook

Sanders is another project at LB in this class that lacks punch at the top. Sanders could easily develop as the best LB in this class but he transferred to Arkansas from Alabama last year and moved from Edge to LB and has only one year of experience at the position. His experience at both spots makes him a 3 down player, he thrived as an LB and has pass rush moves on the line but he also missed a ton of tackles last year. Sanders was surprisingly highly rated in coverage in his first year as an LB but the speed of the NFL might be a bigger issue. Sanders is likely to be a top 50 pick and will be a great buy in dynasty but depending on landing spot he might start on Special Teams and work his way up.

Drew Sanders 2023 NFL Draft Outlook

Sanders is a tall, high-energy linebacker with excellent explosiveness and range. His versatility and rare athleticism could make him an every-down starter in a defense that favors speed and aggressiveness. At this point, Sanders is probably a little bit more impactful as a pass rusher and coverage linebacker because of his tendency to overcommit at times and to work around, rather than through, blockers in the run game. However, with some more patience and functional strength, Sanders could easily develop into an impact player between the tackles as well.
