Leading Off MLB Parlay of the Day for Tuesday, May 16 (+1013)

Welcome to the Leading Off MLB Parlay of the Day.   • Joe Pisapia’s Pick: Rangers ML (-106)
  • Chris Welsh’s Pick: Luis Ortiz O 4.5 Strikeouts (-110)
  • Mike Maher’s Pick: Dodgers ML (-200)
  • Kelly Kirby’s Pick: Padres -1.5 (+100)

Parlay Odds: +1013

I’m going with the chalk with Dodgers -200, so I’ll probably be the one to blow up this parlay. Welsh is going with a Luis Ortiz strikeouts prop and is taking the OVER despite Ortiz only striking out one batter in his first start this season. However, Ortiz has hit this number in three of his last five starts dating back to last season (visual below). “Plus Money Wonky” is taking the Padres run line, while Joey P is targeting Jared Shuster and the Braves by taking the Rangers ML at -106. For what it’s worth, my model has the Braves (as in, the opposite of Joe’s pick) as the best moneyline bet for today. So, maybe try out this parlay but hedge by taking the Braves straight up?
