Fantasy Impact: Casas’ MRI showed that he will need more than the 10-day IL stint to recover. The team has not placed a timetable on his expected return. The Red Sox will likely rotate multiple players at first base in his absence.

Austin Hays (calf) placed on the IL
The Orioles placed Austin Hays on the 10-day IL with a left calf strain. (Source: Orioles on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact: The move does not come as a surprise considering Hays left Sunday’s game early with a calf injury. This should open up even more playing time for Colton Cowser.

The Orioles plan to recall outfield prospect Heston Kjerstad on Tuesday, a source with direct knowledge tells The Baltimore Sun.
Kjerstad, the No. 42 prospect in baseball, is hitting .349 with a 1.176 OPS in Triple-A this season.

Fantasy Impact: Kjerstad should see a fair share of playing time with Austin Hays landing on the injured list. The power hitting outfielder hit .349, with 10 home runs, and 30 RBI in 21 games with the Tides.
